Switching
How to switch chiropractic software without missing a billing cycle
Much easier than you think
An overview of the process
Switching chiropractic EHR software does not have to interrupt your billing or impact your patients. At Turncloud we time your cutover in tandem with your billing cycles, train staff first, and facilitate converting patient data if wanted - ensuring no claim falls between the two systems. A practice ready to start is typically live within days, sometimes in as little as two.

Why practices put off saving money
Many offices that would benefit by purchasing a new system, end up staying with their existing feature bloated system that costs them more each month. The reasons rarely change. Staff have to relearn a system they use every hour of the day. Patient data has to come across safely. And for a cash-strapped practice, the frightening one: if the transition slips and you miss two billing cycles, that can mean major cashflow issues. Those fears are rational. The answer to them is sequencing, and it looks like this.
What a switch actually looks like
Before day one
We coordinate your cutover date together and tie it to the optimal placement in your billing cycle. If converting data, the records come over ahead of time such as: patient information, insurance lists, and items like account balances if wanted.
Training days one and two
Your team trains on the real system with our live, human trainers, role by role.
Cutover
From the agreed date, everything new rolls into Turncloud. Tech support is just a call or email away to help with any extra questions.
The first cycle
We stay close through your first full billing cycle, on the phone with your billing person, until the first claims come back paid.
Questions practices actually ask
Will I lose patient data?
No. Your data comes across before cutover, and nothing we do will modify or erase your prior system’s information.
How much training will my staff need?
A couple of initial sessions for most offices, then a walkthrough of a live billing run. Staff coming from another system learn fast, and staff who have never used chiropractic software get up and running quickly too with the help of the common-sense workflows.
What if something goes wrong mid-switch?
You call us and a person answers. We have been building chiropractic software for more than 30 years, first on desktops, now in the cloud - so we have lots of experience transitioning practices from old to new software.
What if I’m opening a brand-new practice?
Then there is nothing to convert and nothing to fear. Tell us your opening date. Your staff will be trained and your software live before your first patient walks in. We can help with automatic entry of insurance company lists if you want. New doctors have enough to worry about; software should never be on the list.
